These terms apply when you use Open Calls Board, run by Open Calls Board. By creating an account you agree to them.

What the service is

Open Calls Board lists open calls for papers, conferences, funding opportunities and journals, and offers tools to save and plan submissions. We gather this information from publishers, funders and open databases such as OpenAlex.

Accuracy

We work to keep listings correct, but deadlines and details can change or contain mistakes. Always confirm details on the publisher's or funder's own page before you submit or apply. Journal ranks are our own calculation from open data and are a guide, not an official rating. We aren't responsible for missed deadlines or decisions made by journals, conferences or funders.

AI features

Some features include suggestions and cover-letter drafts written by Claude, an AI model. They can be wrong or incomplete. Review and edit everything before you use it; you are responsible for what you submit.

Your account

Keep your password private. One account per person. Don't misuse the service: no scraping or bulk copying of the listings, no attempts to break or overload the site, and no reselling of access.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Liability

The service is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.

Changes and law

We may update these terms and will tell account holders by email about important changes. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States.
